LIVERPOOL SHOP WORKER JAILED FOR RAPE OF TEENAGER IN STORE
A male shop employee named Sanad Ahmed has been convicted and sentenced for serious sexual offences that occurred in a Liverpool city centre store.The incidents took place in May 2021, when Ahmed targeted two teenage girls.
He was found guilty of oral rape and sexual assault through penetration at Liverpool Crown Court.
As a result, he was sentenced to seven years in prison and was ordered to be on the sex offenders' register for life.
Merseyside Police explained that Ahmed was arrested on the same day as the assaults, following reports from a group of teenagers who saw what happened and provided information.
Despite denying any involvement for several years, Ahmed was ultimately convicted after the victims provided eyewitness testimony in court.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Parry stated that her conviction should give closure to the victims and help prevent Ahmed from harming others in the future.
Furthermore, Ahmed was given a 10-year restraining order preventing him from contacting the victims.
Authorities commended the bravery and cooperation of the teenagers, which was crucial in securing the conviction.
