ISLEWORTH MAN CAUGHT ON CCTV PUNCHING AND KICKING A WOMAN IN STREET
A man was convicted in court after surveillance footage captured him punching and kicking a woman.
Samuel Sheridan, aged 25 and residing on Crane Ave in Isleworth, pleaded guilty at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court to charges of assault by beating and common assault.
The court was informed that on February 1, 2019, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving Sheridan and a woman.
Sheridan fled the scene before authorities arrived.
The female victim remained at the location and appeared deeply distressed by the assault, although she did not cooperate with police and only provided her first name.
CCTV investigations confirmed that Sheridan attacked her by punching and kicking her.
On December 20, 2019, Sheridan received an 18-week prison sentence.
Additionally, a restraining order was issued for two years, and he was ordered to pay a surcharge of £115 to support victim services.
Detective Constable Mark Palmer of the Metropolitan Police’s West Area Basic Command Unit Safeguarding Team commented: “This matter has had an impact on the victim and the community, especially those who witnessed this horrific incident.
The police will not tolerate domestic abuse.
If you are a victim of domestic abuse, please don’t suffer in silence, speak to us”
