POWYS SEX OFFENDER WILL BE SENTENCED AT CROWN COURT
A CONVICTED sex offender is to be sentenced at the crown court after he admitted breaching a court order.
Homeless Ryan Murray-Land, 36, appeared at court this week, where he admitted failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offender’s register.
He did so on October 21 in Llandrindod when, being of no fixed abode, he failed to attend either Police Station or breacon police station as he is required to do every seven days in order to update the force’s offender manager unit of his current place of residence.
Prosecutor James Sprunks said Murray-Land was currently on the sex offender’s register, following an order made for 10 years by the crown court.
He said the defendant was imprisoned in March 2022 for 18 months after breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
He added that Murray-Land was convicted earlier this year of making an indecent photograph of a child.
Magistrates sent the case to Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, where Murray-Land will be sentenced on December 9.
