RYAN FOSTER OF SELKIRK ADJUDGED ON SEX OFFENDER REGISTER AFTER DISTURBING ONLINE COMMUNICATIONS
A 26-year-old man named Ryan Foster has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register following a series of disturbing online interactions involving a girl aged 13.It was revealed that Foster sent explicit images of his private parts and videos of himself engaging in sexual acts to the teenager.
He also instructed her to remove her clothes and repeatedly asked her to send indecent images and videos.
However, Selkirk Sheriff Court was informed that Foster's online communications were with an undercover police officer who was posing as the underage girl.
Foster pleaded guilty to causing a person pretending to be a child to view a sexual image and to causing them to receive sexual communication.
Additionally, he admitted to possessing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children between September 2020 and January 2024.
Foster also confessed to breaching his bail conditions by using a private browser on a mobile device in an attempt to hide his internet activity.
