LITTLE LEVER MAN JAILED FOR 12 MONTHS FOR ATTACKING SISTER
A man has been jailed for attacking his sister after she jokingly called him a "woman beater".
Ryan Fleming, 22, appeared via video link to be sentenced at Bolton Crown Court on Friday, October 10.
Fleming, of Ruskin Road in Little Lever, had plead guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Prosecutor Aubrey Sampson stated that on June 13, Fleming and his sister were in the living room, engaging in teasing.
She called him a "woman beater", and he responded: "say that again and see what I'll do".
After she repeated herself, Fleming headbutted her into a window, punched her repeatedly, and put his hands around her throat.
As a result, his sister was left with a fractured cheekbone and a broken nose.
The judge sentenced him to 12 months in prison and issued a restraining order against his sister for two years.
