PAUL TONG FROM LITTLE LEVER JAILED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES AFTER VIGILANTE REVEAL IN BOLTON

In a case that has highlighted the disturbing hypocrisy of vigilante justice, Paul Tong, a resident of Little Lever, was sentenced to three years and three months in prison at Bolton Crown Court for engaging in illegal sexual activities involving a minor.

The conviction followed his arrest after being confronted by paedophile hunters, who had tracked him down based on evidence of his online misconduct.

Back in 2016, Tong was involved in a vigilante group that mistakenly targeted and assaulted a vulnerable man, believing him to be a paedophile with a child in his home.

This incident was a stark reminder of the dangers and potential for misjudgment within such groups.

Judge Timothy Stead, addressing Tong during the sentencing, expressed his concern over the apparent hypocrisy, noting that Tong was still under a suspended sentence for the earlier assault when he began communicating with what he believed was a 13-year-old girl via social media.

The court was informed that the girl, named Gracie, was not real but a fictitious character created by a member of the Redemption paedophile hunting group.
