SWANSEA MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO ONLINE CHILD SEXUAL OFFENSES
A man named Ryan Cottle, originally from Carmarthen and residing in Morriston, Swansea, engaged in inappropriate online communications with a decoy posing as a 14-year-old girl.
He exchanged sexual messages and expressed fetishes involving feet, nylon tights, and stockings.
Cottle asked if she wore tights and requested images of her feet and toes, including stockinged toes.
He also sent a photo of himself bare-chested in response to her pictures.
The conversation, which occurred between February 8 of the previous year and January 13 of the current year, was reported when the decoy account notified authorities.
Cottle was arrested two days after being identified and was charged with attempting to communicate sexually with a minor.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for two years, with additional requirements including a 20-day rehabilitation activity and 90 days of alcohol monitoring.
He is also subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must register as a sex offender for 10 years.
