HELL IN HER OWN HOME — ABUSER BREACHED COURT ORDER JUST FOUR HOURS AFTER WALKING FREE
A terrified woman has told how she was allegedly held hostage, sexually assaulted, throttled, stalked and psychologically tortured by her violent ex-partner — only for him to repeatedly walk free from court despite breaching bail conditions a staggering 13 times.Ross Breen, who was eventually charged over the relentless campaign of abuse, pleaded guilty to repeated breaches before being released from remand with yet another three-year Non Harassment Order.
Shockingly, the victim says Breen allegedly violated the order just FOUR HOURS after the judge imposed it.
In a harrowing victim impact statement, the woman described how what began as a seemingly loving relationship in October 2024 quickly spiralled into a nightmare of coercive control, violence and terror inside her own home.
She claims Breen moved into her property just two days after meeting her, turning up with bags of clothes and saying he had “nowhere to go”.
Within weeks, she says his behaviour became possessive and obsessive.
The victim alleges Breen monitored every aspect of her life — searching through her phone daily, blocking male contacts, smashing multiple phones and calling her dozens of times a day whenever they were apart.
“He completely ground me down to nothing,” she said.
“I felt trapped.” According to the statement, Breen would allegedly hide house keys to stop her escaping and lock her inside the property while he went out drinking.
In one of the most disturbing allegations, the woman claims Breen sexually assaulted her during a jealous rage, allegedly forcing his fingers inside her body while accusing her of sleeping with a friend.
She told the court: “He said, ‘Let’s see then, prove you haven’t slept with him.’” The violence allegedly escalated further in January 2026 after Breen became enraged over a message from one of her male friends.
The victim says he threw her against walls and furniture, repeatedly stopped her from leaving the house and ripped a bedroom door off its hinges during a terrifying 25-minute ordeal.
Blood was allegedly smeared across the walls of the home after Breen split his own head open during the rampage.
The victim says she only managed to escape when a takeaway driver arrived at the door.
Covered “head to toe in blood”, she ran to Maryfield Police Station begging for help.
Police arrested Breen at the property and reportedly witnessed the damage inside the home for themselves.
Yet despite repeated arrests and court appearances, the victim says Breen continued turning up at her home, repeatedly calling her from blocked and private numbers and refusing to leave her alone.
On one occasion, she alleges he grabbed her by the neck and threw her onto a sofa while she tried to call 999.
The woman says the justice system failed to protect her despite the mounting breaches.
“The courts essentially allowed him to terrorise me in my own home,” she said.
Even after being handed a Non Harassment Order and 200 hours of community payback on April 2, the victim claims Breen immediately resumed contact — allegedly bombarding her with abusive messages and more than 30 calls in a single evening.
Now living in a new home with a changed phone number, the woman says she still feels hunted.
“I should be able to visit who I want without feeling like he has eyes on me,” she said.
She also warned that other women had allegedly suffered similar behaviour from Breen in previous relationships.
“The next girl might not be as lucky as me.”
