CHILD SEX ABUSER RONALD HALL JAILED FOR INDECENT ASSAULTS
Ronald Hall, who was originally from St Helens but was residing in France, was found guilty of 13 counts of indecent assault against two teenage girls during a Liverpool Crown Court trial on December 14 of the previous year. The crimes took place between 1983 and 1989.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that some of the abuse involved Hall asking one of the victims if she "liked it", pinning her against a kitchen sink, intentionally dropping his towel to show he was naked, and sexually assaulting the girls over and under their clothing.
One of the victims gave a heartbreaking statement describing how she has been "haunted" by these events ever since.
She explained how her life changed forever one Monday afternoon, suffering from daily suicidal thoughts, and feeling humiliated, dirty, and unclean due to Hall's actions.
In a touching moment, when Hall was led down to the cells, he blew kisses towards his family and mouthed "I love you".
A family member was heard responding with "love you".
Hall was sentenced to five years in prison.
The judge, Denis Watson KC, remarked on how Hall betrayed trust in the most appalling ways.
Additionally, a card received by one of the victims' families was considered to contain "threats to kill", which the judge said was "unforgivable" and warned that anyone responsible for such messages would face imprisonment.
Hall's defense stated that in his adult life, following the offenses, he had behaved well towards family and friends, providing emotional and practical support.
The court was also told that Hall is in poor health and needs medication that balances "one another".
Hall is currently in jail serving his sentence, and Merseyside Police mentioned that they do not have a mugshot of him on their system.
