    YATE MAN ROBIN PARKINSON ESCAPES JAIL AFTER CHILD ABUSE IMAGE SCANDAL

    In February 2010, a disturbing case emerged involving Robin Parkinson, a resident of Yate, who was found to have downloaded and possessed indecent images of children. The case came to light when a lodger residing with Parkinson in Chedworth discovered photographs depicting a young girl in her underwear on his computer. This discovery prompted a police investigation that uncovered further troubling evidence.

    Upon conducting a search of Parkinson's computer, authorities found not only the photographs but also a record of an online chat conversation in which Parkinson, aged 62, engaged with an individual claiming to be a 13-year-old girl. During this exchange, Parkinson referred to himself as the
