LANARKSHIRE MAN WHO EXPOSED HIMSELF TO TRAIN PASSENGERS FACES COURT DELAYS
A man convicted of exposing himself to female train passengers, including a 16-year-old girl, has had his sentence delayed for a fourth time.Robert Seal, aged 36, was placed on the sex offenders' register after his trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court in March this year.
Seal denied exposing himself and engaging in sex acts on two occasions, but was found guilty of both counts.
The incidents occurred on May 26, 2023, while he was traveling between Hamilton and Larkhall.
Witnesses, including a female aged just 16 at the time, saw him behave offensively, and police could not trace all his victims.
Court proceedings revealed Seal had recently moved to Bognor Regis, Sussex, living in a van in a hotel car park after losing his job.
Sheriff John Hamilton KC was informed that social workers have not yet prepared background reports due to ongoing assessments.
The case was adjourned again until next month, with Seal's bail being continued.
