MAN JAILED FOR CONTROLLING AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR
A 62-year-old man identified as Robert Rawson has been convicted for subjecting a woman to prolonged physical and emotional abuse.His actions included controlling her communication by restricting her access to her phone, monitoring her movements and finances, and publicly disrobing her.
Rawson also demeaned her in front of their child and posted intimate images of her online.
He pleaded guilty to controlling and coercive behavior and perverting the course of justice at Liverpool Crown Court.
Rawson has been sentenced to two years and six months in prison, and a restraining order has been issued against him for 15 years.
Detective Inspector Steven O'Neill commented on the case, emphasizing that coercive and controlling behavior will not be tolerated and highlighted the availability of support for domestic abuse victims.
