MAN KISSED AND SENT INAPPROPRIATE TEXT MESSAGES TO TEENAGE GIRL
A man engaged in inappropriate conduct by kissing a teenage girl and later sending her unsuitable text messages.Robert Joseph Lee, aged 42, kissed the girl and took photographs during their encounter on one occasion.
He then sent her messages expressing eagerness for more kisses and cuddles.
The girl's mother became suspicious after noticing the messages and subsequently discovered them, leading her to alert the police.
Lee, residing in Benwell, Newcastle, appeared before Durham Crown Court on Wednesday to be sentenced for two counts of child sexual assault and one count of communicating sexually with a minor.
Lee was jailed for 19 months and made subject of a 10 year sexual harm prevention order and 10 year restraining order.
He will be on the sex offender's register for 10 years.
