ELGIN PAEDOPHILE RAYMOND BOYNE CAUGHT BY JUSTICE FOR INNOCENTS IN SHOCKING SOCIAL MEDIA STING

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Elgin, a local man named Raymond Boyne was apprehended after falling victim to a vigilant paedo hunting operation. The group, known as Justice For Innocents, orchestrated an undercover sting on social media, where they posed as an underage girl to lure potential predators. This operation ultimately led to Boyne’s arrest and exposure.

Between January 16 and January 30 of this year, the 64-year-old resident of Forteath Street engaged in a series of inappropriate and explicit communications with what he believed was a 13-year-old girl. The decoy profile was carefully managed by the group, who waited for contact before revealing the true age of the profile. During these exchanges, Boyne made several disturbing references to sexual activities, including discussions about attending sex parties and touching men’s genitals. The messages also included three videos sent by Boyne, in which he was seen touching himself, further illustrating his predatory intent.

The members of Justice For Innocents, along with Protecting Kids Scotland, live streamed the sting online, capturing the moment they confronted Boyne. After the confrontation, the group provided the police with all relevant details of his online activities, facilitating the subsequent investigation.

At Inverness Sheriff Court, prosecutor Alison Young outlined the details of the case. She explained that the decoy profiles used by the group remain inactive until contacted, at which point the age of the profile is disclosed immediately. It was during these initial exchanges that Boyne was informed he was speaking to a 13-year-old girl. Despite this, he continued to send explicit messages, including invitations to sex parties and detailed descriptions of sexual practices.

Among the messages sent by Boyne were provocative statements such as, “Do you want to see how it’s done?”, “I can’t do this if your mother is there,” and “I’ll show you when you are on your own.” These messages clearly indicated his intent and understanding of the situation.

When questioned by police, Boyne expressed remorse, admitting he was ashamed of his actions and stating that he might as well plead guilty. He is currently on bail, having been released since January 31. His sentencing has been postponed until October 18 to allow for a comprehensive background report to be prepared. Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood emphasized that all sentencing options remain open, indicating the seriousness of the case and the potential for severe penalties.
