RAMAZAN ER CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT IN EXETER
A man faces trial for an alleged sex assault on a woman in Cathedral Green, Exeter.Ramazan Er is charged with the single offence relating to an incident on May 11, 2025.
The defendant, of Archibald Road in Exeter, appeared at Exeter Magistrates Court on Wednesday, October 29.
The 26-year-old, assisted by an interpreter, spoke to confirm his name and personal details.
The charge states that he intentionally touched a woman who was 16 or over and the touching was sexual when she did not consent.
He pleaded not guilty to the single charge.
The court was told the allegation relates to an incident in the early hours of the morning.
District Judge Stuart Smith sent the case to Exeter Crown Court for trial.
He granted the defendant conditional bail until then.
Er was told that the next court hearing would be on November 28.
