PHILIP WILLOWS FROM COALVILLE CAUGHT WITH TERRIFYING CHILD IMAGES IN BLACKPOOL HOTEL

In a disturbing case that unfolded at a hotel in Blackpool, Philip Willows, a man from Coalville, was found in possession of highly disturbing and explicit images depicting child sexual abuse.

The incident took place in February 2016 at the Trades Hotel located on Lord Street, a popular area in Blackpool known for its bustling tourist scene.

Willows, aged 32 at the time, was apprehended by authorities after a search of his belongings uncovered a collection of indecent photographs of children.

Among these images, some were classified as ‘category A,’ indicating the most severe level of sexual exploitation and abuse.

The discovery was part of a broader investigation into his online activities, which revealed that he had been engaging in conversations on the mobile messaging app KIK, where he openly discussed his interest in child pornography.

During the court proceedings, Fraser Livesey, the prosecutor, detailed how Willows had multiple electronic devices in his hotel room, including a mobile phone that, upon examination, contained numerous illicit images.

The evidence presented painted a disturbing picture of Willows’ involvement in the possession and distribution of child abuse material.

Willows, who resides on Cane Close in Coalville, Leicester, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing such images.

His emotional response in court was evident as he wept in the dock during sentencing.

In a judgment delivered at Preston Crown Court, Willows was sentenced to a three-year community order.

As part of his rehabilitation, he is required to attend a specialized sexual offenders treatment program and complete a 40-day rehabilitation requirement.

Additionally, he is mandated to sign the Sex Offender’s Register, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities to prevent further offenses.

This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and the importance of vigilance in identifying and prosecuting individuals involved in such heinous crimes.
