In a serious case that has shocked the community of Hoddesdon, Philip Hutchinson, a 62-year-old resident of Admirals Walk, has admitted to creating an alarming number of indecent images and videos depicting children. The charges against Hutchinson reveal a disturbing pattern of offending that spans several years, with the offences dating back to before August 2012.Hutchinson faced multiple allegations in connection with the production of these illicit materials. Specifically, he pleaded guilty to six counts of making indecent movies and five counts of creating indecent images of children. Among these charges, two involved level five movies, which are classified as the most serious and disturbing forms of such material.
The case was brought before Stevenage Magistrates’ Court, where Hutchinson entered his plea last week on a Monday. The court proceedings marked a significant step in the legal process, with the defendant now awaiting sentencing. The sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place at St Albans Crown Court on Monday, August 12.
As part of his bail conditions, Hutchinson was released from custody but with strict restrictions. He is prohibited from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16, a measure designed to protect potential victims and prevent further harm.
