MAN SENTENCED FOR 'ERRATIC' STALKING AND HARASSMENT IN HODDESDON

A London man was convicted and sentenced to two years and four months imprisonment after stalking his ex-partner and bombarding her with hundreds of unwanted calls.

Keven Ibrahim-Hills, 39 years old, of Frampton Park Road, was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on the 3rd of March for charges that included stalking, breaching a non-molestation order, and common assault.

According to the court proceedings, Ibrahim-Hills made 60 calls to his victim on April 21, and between September 26 and October 17, 2022, he made over 400 calls, despite a non-molestation order in effect since August 2 designed to protect her.

On October 4, 2022, he forcibly took her phone outside a shop on Stansted Road in Hoddesdon and attempted to unlock it.

He then entered her vehicle ignoring her pleas for him to leave and pulled the handbrake, which caused her car to swerve out of control.

He was sentenced to 28 months for stalking and 28 months for breaching his order, with both terms served concurrently.

A further four months were added for common assault, after threatening her with a hidden knife beneath his shirt on April 13, 2022.

Judge Michael Roques stated that Ibrahim-Hills' behaviour after the non-molestation order was issued was sufficiently concerning to warrant remand in custody.

Detective Jayne Atkin from the Domestic Abuse Investigation and Safeguarding Unit said: "He showed no regard for his non-molestation order, which was put in place to protect his victim.

"His erratic and obsessive behaviour has had a devastating effect on his victim who wanted to get on with her life without finding Ibrahim-Hills there harassing and stalking her every move.

These behaviours can escalate putting victims at risk of serious risk of harm, so we are pleased he has been sent to prison."
