SERIAL CARLUKE CHILD RAPIST WHO ATTACKED 4 CHILDREN OVER A 7 YEAR PERIOD WAS RELEASED AFTER JUST 1 YEAR INSIDE
2023: Peter McGurk was sentenced to 6 years extended sentencing (3 years in Custody, 3 on license) after being found guilty of repeatedly raping several young females between December 2017 and January 2020.On various occasions between December 2013 and July 2017, when McGurk was aged between 12 and 16, he raped and sexually assaulted a girl four years younger than him at an address in Forth, South Lanarkshire.
McGurk also sexually assaulted the child between July 2019 and January 2020 by touching the child's privates.
A second victim was sexually assaulted by McGurk as she slept on July 24, 2016 at another address in Forth.
McGurk also sexually assaulted a third victim on two separate occasions at a Forth address between January 2015 and August 2017 when the child was aged between 11 and 13.
A fourth victim also appears on the indictment.
McGurk sexually assaulted her on various occasions between May 2018 and May 2019 when she was 14.
2019: A 17-year-old boy, whose name is not disclosed for legal reasons, admitted to raping a 12-year-old girl at a house in Lanarkshire, specifically Carluke, on two occasions in March 2017.
he offences occurred on March 4 and March 8, 2017, after the two met through social media and spent time talking before meeting in person.
uring the incidents, the girl told the teenager to stop, but he responded, saying: "I'm not taking no for an answer." The girl disclosed what had happened to a relative, prompting police investigation.
Evidence gathered included an internal swab from the girl that revealed the accused's DNA, despite his denial of any sexual activity and claiming he was a virgin during police questioning.
The teenager is in custody at Polmont Young Offenders' Institution, and the court deferred sentencing until next month pending further reports.
He has been placed on the sex offenders' register, and solicitor Shahid Latif is expected to make a plea in mitigation next month.
