2022: PETER JOYCE FROM KIDDERMINSTER SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN WORCESTER

In a serious case that has shocked the community of Kidderminster, Peter Joyce, a 68-year-old pensioner residing on Shaw Avenue, has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in attempting to facilitate a child sex offence.

The incident, which took place between May 11 and June 10 of 2022, culminated in Joyce's appearance at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, July 8, where he received a significant custodial sentence.

Joyce pleaded guilty to two serious charges during his hearing at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, June 11.

The first charge involved his attempt to arrange for another individual to commit a sexual assault involving a seven-year-old child.

This act of attempting to facilitate a sexual offence demonstrates a disturbing intent to harm a vulnerable young victim.

Additionally, Joyce admitted to breaching a sexual harm prevention order by trying to contact the child indirectly.

This breach further underscores his disregard for legal restrictions designed to protect minors from potential harm.

The offences, both committed within a month-long period, highlight a troubling pattern of predatory behavior.

Following his guilty plea, Joyce was sentenced to 32 months in prison at Worcester Crown Court.

The court also mandated that he be placed on the sex offenders register for a period of ten years, a measure intended to monitor and restrict his activities post-release.
