STALKER EX-BOYFRIEND WARNED 'I'LL MAKE RAOUL MOAT LOOK MINOR'
A stalker ex-boyfriend warned his former partner: 'I will make Raoul Moat look like a f***ing minor'.Peter Ellery, aged 38, from Smethwick was branded a 'narcissist' with low self-esteem by a judge.
He controlled and manipulated his ex-partner, terrorised her after their relationship ended, and made threatening comments referencing Raoul Moat, the gunman involved in a notorious 2010 Northumberland shooting.
Ellery was sentenced to two years and three months at Birmingham Crown Court on February 6 for controlling and coercive behaviour and stalking causing serious alarm or distress.
The court heard how Ellery repeatedly checked his ex's phone, accused her of cheating, threatened to kill himself if she left him, and showed her weapons while boasting about having guns.
After the breakup, he sent her chilling messages including that he was 'watching your every move' and he even knew her toilet paper usage.
He contacted her family with threats to 'destroy' her life and threatened to shoot everyone in her house.
Ellery, of Shenstone Road, also admitted to committing more than 50 offences in the past and was condemned by the judge for the 'appalling' way he treated his ex-girlfriend.
Despite being ordered not to contact her, he continued to send vile texts.
His solicitor claimed drugs clouded his judgment and he was embarrassed by his actions.
The judge emphasized that until he accepts responsibility, he remains a risk to women and future partners.
