MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER WIFE STABBED

A man appeared before Blackburn magistrates facing charges of attempted murder in connection with a stabbing at Church.

Pawel Skros, aged 39 and residing on Warwick Street in Church, is accused of attempting to murder his wife, Beata Skros, on Monday, March 15.

He was remanded into custody and is set to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 15.

In related updates, the woman received multiple stab wounds during the assault at her Warwick Street home early on Sunday morning.

She was transported to hospital in a critical condition, but her current status is described as “serious but stable.”
