TILLICOULTRY SEX OFFENDER BREACHES REQUIREMENTS AND FACES COURT
A 52-year-old man from Tillicoultry, Paul Hutchison, has been involved in legal proceedings after breaching sex offender notification requirements. He admitted that between June 4 and July 9, he failed to inform police within three days of receiving a new bank card, violating the conditions of his sex offender registration.
His defense solicitor, Charlotte Watt, described this as an honest mistake resulting from forgetfulness, and Hutchison apologized to the court.
The case was heard at Alloa Sheriff Court, where Sheriff Neil Bowie emphasized the importance of the notification requirements and deferred sentencing until January 9 for good behavior.
Hutchison has a prior conviction from 2018 at the High Court in Glasgow, where he was imprisoned for six years after installing a tracking device in a woman's car and subsequently raping her.
He had fitted the device without her knowledge, then repeatedly demanded her whereabouts.
In November 2015, Hutchison raped the same woman at a house in Fife.
Following his conviction for both offences, he was placed on a 10-year non-harassment order and registered as a sex offender indefinitely.
