59-YEAR-OLD MAN JAILED FOR SENDING PORNOGRAPHIC VIDEOS TO 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL
Pervert Paul Harrison sent sexual videos to who he believed was a 14-year-old schoolgirl. The 59-year-old used highly sexual language while chatting with the girl despite being told her age.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard he told her he would be her perfect boyfriend and said he loved talking to her.
He encouraged her to perform a sex act on herself and sent a sexual video of himself and separate videos of two women masturbating.
Now Harrison has been jailed for 32 months.
Prosecutor Jamie Scott said a woman managed a Facebook profile of a 14-year-old girl and on March 24 last year the defendant began to send messages.
She made it clear she was aged 14.
But the defendant asked if she had a boyfriend and said he would be her perfect boyfriend until she got another one.
Mr Scott said Harrison asked the teenager to perform a sex act on herself and to let him know how it felt.
He said he loved talking to her but was a lot older than her and if anyone found out they would think it was weird.
He said, 'I have sexual feelings for you.
I feel bad about it.
It is not normal.
Do you think it is ok for a man of my age to have sexual thoughts about a girl your age?
You need to be naughty sometimes.
I mean be naughty with me'.
On March 30 he told the girl to perform a sex act on herself.
Mr Scott added: "He asked for photos of her doing the act but it was not sent to him.
He sent her a video of himself performing a sex act.
He sent her two pornographic videos of two women performing sex acts on themselves." The court heard the decoy contacted the police and the defendant was confronted by members of a paedophile hunter group at his Longton home on April 8.
Harrison, of Albert Street, Longton, pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child; attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act and attempting to incite a child to engage in penetrative sexual activity.
Hugh McKee, mitigating, said the defendant was not a risk of contacting anyone under 16.
Mr McKee said: "He has learnt his lesson.
He understands this is serious offending.
There can be a small reduction in sentence for the fact it was an attempt.
His main mitigation is his guilty plea and his age.
He is 59 with no hint of this sort of behaviour or distorted thinking in the past.
Loneliness and isolation has brought him to this.
I ask you to keep the sentence as short as possible.
The courts will never see him again." Recorder Robert Smith said: "As far as you were concerned you were speaking to a 14-year-old schoolgirl.
You sent messages in which you used highly sexual language.
You asked her to be naughty for you.
You asked if she touched herself sexually.
You said you had sexual feelings for her.
You knew full well what you were doing was wrong and illegal.
In my judgement you do have a sexual attraction to pubescent females.
You knew what you were doing was wholly wrong.
In my judgement you undoubtedly gained sexual gratification from what you were doing.
You find it difficult to admit to yourself you have a sexual attraction to teenage girls regardless of whether they are over or under the age of consent." Harrison was placed on the sex offenders' register for the rest of his life and was made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for 15 years.
