LANARKSHIRE MAN PLACED ON SEX OFFENDERS' REGISTER AFTER CHILD ABUSE IMAGES FOUND ON PHONE
Police who found child abuse images on a man's phone also discovered videos showing a woman being sexually assaulted.Paul Fallon was placed on the sex offenders' register when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
The 39-year-old admitted downloading indecent images of children at a house in Tyndrum Crescent, Hamilton, between May 2021 and March last year.
Eleven of those clips were in Category A, deemed the most disturbing.
Specialist officers also discovered 51 photographs showing child sex abuse, with 25 of those in Category A.
Fallon also admitted possessing two videos showing what prosecutor Scott O'Connor described as "a serious sexual assault on an adult female by an adult male".
The court heard all of the material was found on a phone seized by police officers when they searched the house on April 6, 2022.
The court deferred sentence until next month for a social work report and electronic tagging assessment.
