PAEDOPHILE PAUL DWYER FROM SMETHWICK SENTENCED TO 16 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN WOLVERHAMPTON
In a significant case that has shocked the local community, Paul Dwyer, a 52-year-old man from Smethwick, has been sentenced to a total of 16 years in prison following his conviction for multiple serious sexual offences committed against children over two decades ago.The crimes took place during the 1990s, specifically between 1990 and 1999, with the offences occurring in the areas of Smethwick and Erdington.
Dwyer, who was in his late 20s and early 30s at the time, was found guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court of three counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
These allegations involved three young victims—two girls and one boy—whose ages ranged from just five to twelve years old at the time of the abuse.
The victims, who have chosen to come forward after many years of silence, demonstrated remarkable courage in reporting Dwyer to the authorities.

The court also imposed a sentence of one year for the indecent assaults, which Dwyer will serve alongside his other sentences.
