In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Walsall, Paul Coleman, a 38-year-old resident of Hendra Close, Tamebridge, was found to possess an alarming collection of over 6,000 indecent images of children.
The revelation came after Coleman was caught attempting to film a schoolgirl using a hidden camera, an act that brought his criminal activities to light and led to his arrest.
His case was heard at Wolverhampton Crown Court, where Judge Nicholas Webb presided over the proceedings.
In a decision that surprised many, the judge chose not to send Coleman to prison.
Instead, he emphasized the importance of treatment and rehabilitation, stating that addressing Coleman's underlying issues was paramount.
