PAUL BLAIR CAUGHT IN BROMSGROVE WITH TEENAGE GIRLS AFTER BREACHING CROWN COURT ORDER

In a concerning incident that unfolded in Bromsgrove, Paul Blair, a 27-year-old man with a troubling past, was found in violation of a court-imposed order after being spotted with two teenage girls. The events took place on June 19 of the previous year, when police officers observed Blair in a car parked at Tesco’s in Redditch. Inside the vehicle were two girls, both aged 15, which immediately raised alarms given Blair’s prior legal restrictions.

Four years earlier, Blair, who resides on Newton Road in Aston Fields, Bromsgrove, had been subjected to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) following a conviction for sexually assaulting a female. The court had also sentenced him to 12 months in jail. The terms of the SOPO explicitly prohibited Blair from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16, a restriction designed to prevent further offenses and protect minors from potential harm.

Despite these legal restrictions, Blair was found in the company of the two teenage girls, which constituted a clear breach of the court order. Prosecutor Gareth Walters told the court that police had observed Blair with the girls in the Tesco car park in Redditch, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges. Blair admitted to breaching the SOPO, and as a result, he was sentenced to a three-year community order. This order included a requirement for him to participate in a sex offender group work program, aimed at rehabilitation and monitoring.

During the hearing, Judge Alistair McCreath issued a stern warning to Blair, emphasizing that any further breach of the order would likely result in a custodial sentence. The judge expressed concern over Blair’s apparent disregard for the age of the girls, stating that he had shown “no care whatsoever” and believed they were over 16. However, the judge acknowledged that there was no evidence of grooming or sexual contact in this particular incident.

Blair’s defense attorney, Simon Phillips, explained that Blair’s actions had been influenced by his distinctive vehicle, which has special lights that drew police attention. Additionally, Phillips highlighted Blair’s health issues, noting that he suffers from a heart condition and was scheduled for a hospital operation, which may have impacted his behavior and decision-making at the time.
