ABINGDON: MAN JAILED AFTER LIVING WITH WOMAN WITH TWO GIRLS
A paedophile has been jailed after he was living with a woman with two young daughters who had no idea about his offending.
Nigel Harding, of Crosslands Drive, Abingdon, was jailed at Oxford Crown Court on November 25.
The 64-year-old was jailed for two years in 2016 at Chester Crown Court for offences involving child pornographic images, the court heard.
That sentence included a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.
Ahead of the sentencing in Oxford, Harding pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to comply with notification requirements of being on the sex offenders' register and three counts of breaching the sexual harm prevention order.
The count of failing to notify police about being homeless on June 9 and not informing officers of a change of address in August was also part of the breaches.
Court heard Harding was living with a woman and her two daughters under 16 between August and October this year, with the woman unaware of the sexual harm prevention order, which shocked her when told.
Other breaches included deleting internet history and apps such as Telegram, Wickr, Mega, Kik, Session, and Teleguard, and using software like Snapchat and Incognito mode that does not record internet history.
Judge Ian Pringle KC sentenced Harding to 20 months in prison.
