WOMAN JAILED FOR 14 YEARS AFTER STABBING HER PARTNER TO DEATH
Nicola Lee was convicted of manslaughter after stabbing her partner, Paul Taylor, to death at her home in Jarrow.During the court proceedings, she claimed that Mr.
Taylor stabbed himself, but her account was rejected by jurors who found her guilty of manslaughter, clearing her of murder.
The judge at Newcastle Crown Court described Lee as a ‘manipulative, calculating, dangerous and vicious woman’ whose behaviour was worsened by alcohol consumption.
She has a history of violence against partners, including an incident where she stabbed a man in the leg with a garden fork.
The judge sentenced her to 14 years in prison.
Lee was also found to have lied about the circumstances of the incident and attempted to blame Mr.
Taylor for his own death, which the judge described as ‘cowardly’.
He also noted her history of mental health problems and turbulent background.
Lee called 999 after the stabbing, attempting to help her partner, and she was already on remand for 210 days before sentencing.
The court also highlighted her history of violence, including past assaults with weapons, and described her as a ‘dangerous and vicious woman’ whose actions caused chaos for neighbors and her own family.
