POLICE DETECTIVE FIRED OVER RELATIONSHIP AND 'RAPE FANTASY' WITH TEEN GIRL
A police officer who engaged in a disturbing sexual misconduct involving a teenage girl has been dismissed for gross misconduct.Det Con Nicholas Henry, who initially worked in the rape and serious sexual offences unit, was found to have had a relationship with a girl whom he met online when she was 15.
The relationship continued for three months after she turned 16.
During a misconduct hearing, it was revealed that Henry acted out a "rape fantasy" with the teenager, stopping only when he realized she was not consenting.
He denied the incident but acknowledged the relationship.
The panel emphasized that the conduct involved abuse of a police officer’s trusted position, with high culpability and malicious intent.
The misconduct was deemed serious, involving sexual impropriety and underage vulnerability, and was confirmed to be a high level of misconduct.
Henry has been dismissed without notice, and his name has been added to the barred list.
