CARLISLE MAN CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE IMAGES GETS COMMUNITY ORDER
Nicholas Atkinson, aged 39 and residing on Blackwell Road, Currock, Carlisle, admitted to possessing seven indecent child images, all assessed as Category C, which is the least serious category of abuse images.
Additionally, three extremely graphic images involving sex with live animals were found on his phone.
The police forensic investigation of his device uncovered these illegal images.
He pleaded guilty to all offences.
The court sentenced him to a 12-month community order with a six-week curfew, requiring him to stay indoors from 7pm to 7am.
Furthermore, Atkinson was ordered to register as a sex offender for five years and was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order for the same duration.
Previously, in January, Atkinson received a two-year jail sentence, suspended for two years, for his drug dealing activities involving cocaine.
