YEOVIL CHEF NEIL PATRICK SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS NEAR STOKE-SUB-HAMDON
In June 2017, Neil Patrick, a 44-year-old chef from Tudor Court, Yeovil, was sentenced for sexual assault crimes committed while working at the Prince of Wales pub near Ham Hill, Stoke-sub-Hamdon.Patrick appeared before Judge David Ticehurst at Taunton Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and one count of common assault.
Prosecutor William Hunter explained that Patrick had groped one teenage girl and attempted to kiss and grope a second girl.
During the incident, when one of the girls tried to turn her head away, Patrick reportedly said, "This is nice, isn’t it?" One of the victims provided a statement expressing her distress, saying that his actions left her feeling shocked, upset, and making it difficult to trust men.
The judge sentenced Patrick to a 12-month community order.
In his remarks, Judge Ticehurst stated, “As a result of drinking, you have caused all sorts of problems — particularly to the girls you targeted.
The last thing any young girl — or any woman of any age — wants is for someone like you groping and fondling them when they don’t want to be touched.”
