YEOVIL MAN JAMIE LEE JAILED FOR REVENGE PORN AND HARASSMENT
Jamie Lee, 30 years old from Yeovil, was involved in a sustained campaign of harassment aimed at a woman. His actions included sending her threatening messages, distributing intimate photos to her family members, and making explicit threats.
He warned her that he would share revenge porn unless she agreed to meet him for sex.
Lee retained a video of the woman and used it to intimidate her, leaving messages that implied she would end up dead, mocking her family, and threatening her friend's safety by suggesting rape.
Additionally, he recorded her during a video call without her consent, captured screenshots, created a GIF, and sent an image to her relatives, demanding she meet with him and falsely assured her that he would delete the video.
Despite his assurances, he continued to harass her by sending further images.
Lee had a history of offending against women and had recently been released from prison when he initiated this harassment.
His threats included voice messages calling her degrading names, threatening to kill her, and boasting about violence involving family members.
He also threatened to have her friend raped, describing in detail what he intended to do.
The victim reported that his conduct caused her considerable psychological distress, leading to a loss of confidence, fearfulness, and feelings of isolation.
Lee admitted to causing her fear of violence through his harassment and to disclosing a private sexual image with intent to upset her.
He was classified as a high-risk individual with unhealthy attitudes about relationships.
The court sentenced him to 15 months in prison and issued a 10-year restraining order prohibiting him from any contact with the victim.
