MILTON KEYNES MAN JAILED FOR KILLING WIFE
Musdafe Jama, a 51-year-old Ethiopian national, was convicted of murdering his wife, Naimo Moalin, age 31, in Milton Keynes. The incident occurred on Tolcarne Avenue, Fishermead, between May 21 and May 22, with the cause of death being strangulation using her headscarf.
Despite his denial, Jama was found guilty at Luton Crown Court.
The judge, Mr Justice Cooke, sentenced him to serve at least 20 years behind bars.
Court proceedings detailed that Jama and Moalin had married in her home country several months before her death.
Moalin had traveled to the UK, arriving at Heathrow on 19 May to join Jama, and was residing in a room rented within a shared house.
Jama described an incident on the night of her death where he returned home and discovered her with another man, leading to a dispute.
He claimed to have feared for his safety and jumped out of a window to get away, at which point his wife was still alive.
