MAN RUMBLED AFTER INVITING MAN BACK TO FLAT FOR SEX WITH HIM AND HIS GIRLFRIEND
A man involved in child exploitation was exposed after he accompanied his girlfriend to meet a man at a bar and invited him to their flat for sex.Following a drug-fueled encounter, Mikael Janesson made disturbing remarks to the man.
The concerned individual then contacted police, leading officers to uncover a disturbing collection of indecent images of children.
During a hearing at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, it was revealed that on September 4 of the previous year, the defendant and his girlfriend met the complainant at a local bar.
Prosecutor Callum Ross explained that Janesson then invited the man back to their Victoria Street residence for a threesome and drug use.
They exchanged contact details before the man returned for further sexual encounters and drug use with the couple on September 18, 2021.
Afterward, Janesson made alarming comments, claiming he believed it was acceptable to have sex with anyone regardless of age.
He then showed the man indecent images on his phone, depicting girls having sex with adult men and extreme porn involving animals.
The frightened man reported this to the police, who raided Janesson’s address on November 11.
They seized various devices including a Lenovo laptop, two OnePlus phones, a hard drive, and a USB stick.
Analysis of these devices revealed the presence of 759 category A indecent images and videos of children, representing the most severe abuse.
There were also 922 images in category B and 776 in category C.
Janesson, currently residing on Rose Lane in Mossley Hill, had been amassing these materials some featuring girls aged 2 to 12 for nearly four years.
Authorities also found 2,406 cartoon-style images depicting children engaging in sexual activities and eight videos of bestiality.
Defending lawyer Jason Smith stated that Janesson’s case was complex, noting his intelligence and recognition of his problems over the past nine to twelve months.
He emphasized the defendant’s efforts and support from his partner, asserting his remorse and willingness to seek help.
Smith highlighted that the defendant and his partner aim to work together to address these issues and build a future.
Janesson, who has no criminal record, admitted charges including possession of indecent images, making indecent images on three occasions, possession of extreme pornographic material, and supplying mephedrone.
He was sentenced to 20 months in prison.
Judge Ian Harris described Janesson as cunning and manipulative, emphasizing the seriousness of his offenses and the harm caused to vulnerable children.
He pointed out that Janesson’s actions contributed to the ongoing exploitation market, which has severe and lasting effects on victims.
As Janesson was taken to custody, he acknowledged his partner and received a 15-year sexual harm prevention order along with a notification requirement.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of electronic devices and a victim surcharge to be paid by the defendant.
