EYEMOUTH MAN CHARGED WITH CAMPAIGN OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A 24-YEAR-OLD man faces trial at Jed­burgh Sher­iff Court next month on a serious domestic abuse charge.

Max Dluzak denies enga­ging in a course of con­duct which was abus­ive to a part­ner or expart­ner at a house in Spring­field Avenue, Duns, between March 1 and Octo­ber 27 last year.

It is alleged that he repeatedly struck the woman to her face, called her derog­at­ory names, pre­ven­ted her from leav­ing a house and attemp­ted to isol­ate her from her friends and fam­ily, all to her injury.

Dluzak, of Queens Road, Eye­mouth, will stand trial on May 5.
