WOMAN SENTENCED FOR NON-RECENT CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Maryam Jabourri, who was previously known by the name Beatrice Cameron and is now 66 years old, received a prison sentence of sixteen and a half years.An indefinite restraining order was also issued to protect both victims, as announced at Aylesbury Crown Court on May 20.
Following a two-day trial at the same court, Jabourri admitted guilt to seven charges of indecency with a child, three charges of indecent assault, and one charge each of causing grievous bodily harm, cruelty to a person under 16, and attempted indecent assault on February 4 of this year.
The offences took place in Chesham during the early 1980s, involving two victims over a lengthy period.
The abuse caused significant long-term physical and mental health issues for the victims, who were minors at the time.
Jabourri participated in a voluntary interview on May 10, 2023, and was formally charged the following year on June 11, 2024.
