MARK WILKIE FROM FORFAR SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN ABERDEEN

A man identified as Mark Wilkie, previously involved with the Boys’ Brigade in Aberdeen, has been sentenced to a community order following his admission to possessing a significant collection of indecent images depicting boys aged between 12 and 16.

The investigation revealed that Wilkie had downloaded over 400 such images over a period spanning from 2008 to 2012, with some of the files last accessed as recently as 2014.

Wilkie’s criminal activity was uncovered during a police investigation into online child exploitation.

The authorities found that the images were stored on his devices, highlighting a disturbing pattern of illegal activity over several years.

In addition to the community order, Wilkie was mandated to perform unpaid work as part of his sentence.

Furthermore, he is required to register as a sex offender for a duration of 18 months, a measure intended to monitor his activities and prevent further offenses.
