SOLDIER SEIZED 8-YEAR-OLD GIRL BY HER NECK OUTSIDE FORFAR DISCO
Walter Gray, a 61-year-old military officer, confessed to attacking an eight-year-old girl outside a social club in Forfar.He grabbed her around the neck with both hands, cutting off her air supply, and threatened to physically harm her during an evening event.
The girl’s closest friend observed the attack.
Gray appeared in Forfar Sheriff Court on March 1, 2024, and acknowledged his guilt.
His lawyer described the event as a "lapse of judgement." He was ordered to pay a fine of £200 within 28 days.
The incident occurred after Gray became irritated with the girl’s behaviour while attending a function in Forfar.
