ACCRINGTON MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSING OVER 50,000 INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A man has admitted to possessing a vast number of indecent images of children, amounting to more than 50,000.
During a court hearing at Preston Crown Court on September 4, Mark Threlfall, aged 61, pleaded guilty to downloading 52,358 category C images, 2,998 category B images, and 2,703 category A images.
Furthermore, he confessed to possessing an extreme pornographic image and four prohibited images of a child.
The court did not set a sentence date during this hearing, but Threlfall's next court appearance is scheduled for October 2 for a mention hearing.
He resides on Blackburn Road, Accrington.
