CORBY PREDATOR MARK JAKES SENTENCED IN NORTHAMPTON FOR SECRETLY FILMING 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL

In December 2021, a disturbing case involving a known offender from Corby has culminated in a significant legal sentence after he was found guilty of secretly filming a minor. Mark Jakes, a man previously residing in Corby, Northamptonshire, was convicted and subsequently sentenced in Northampton Crown Court last month for his heinous actions.

The incident dates back to 2019 when Jakes, then 54 years old, engaged in covertly observing and recording a 14-year-old girl without her knowledge or consent. His actions involved taking explicit photographs of the young girl, which is a serious criminal offense. Additionally, he was charged with observing a person engaged in a private act, further highlighting the invasive nature of his misconduct.

The court proceedings culminated on November 11 in Northampton, where Jakes was handed a prison sentence of two years.
