MAN WHO SEXUALLY ASSAULTED WOMAN JAILED
A man from Penkridge has been sentenced to prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman inside a residential property.Mark Ball, age 52, residing in Penkridge, previously pleaded guilty to the charge of sexual assault during a hearing and received a four-year prison term from Stafford Crown Court on Monday, 27 April.
The assault took place in March of the same year.
Once the incident was reported, authorities promptly arrested Ball and brought him in for questioning.
He denied any wrongdoing and claimed that nothing happened.
Law enforcement officers worked diligently to support the survivor and gather sufficient evidence to prosecute the case.
Once confronted with the evidence and recognizing the survivor’s bravery, Ball admitted to the offence during the court proceedings.
