PENKRIDGE MAN CARL PLIMMER SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN STAFFORDSHIRE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Carl Plimmer, a 25-year-old resident of Norman Road in Penkridge, was sentenced to six years in prison following his conviction on multiple child sex offences. Her report triggered a thorough investigation by Staffordshire Police’s Child Protection and Exploitation Team (CPET).
As part of the investigation, detectives seized electronic devices belonging to Plimmer to gather evidence of his online activities. The evidence uncovered revealed a pattern of disturbing behavior, including attempts to incite sexual exploitation and engage in sexual communication with a minor. The case was brought before Stafford Crown Court, where Plimmer pleaded guilty to a series of serious charges.
His offences included making indecent images of a child, inciting or causing the sexual exploitation of a minor, encouraging a girl to participate in sexual activities, causing a child to view images of sexual acts, and engaging in sexual communication with a child. The court’s decision reflects the severity of his actions and the threat posed to vulnerable minors.
