LANCASHIRE POLICE ARREST POLISH 'MOST WANTED' PAEDOPHILE MARIAN DOROBEK
Marian Dorobek, a 68-year-old individual, has been notably identified as one of Poland's most wanted offenders and was recently arrested after arriving in Lancashire.He was taken into custody at Heysham Port after traveling from the Isle of Man on a Wednesday afternoon.
Dorobek had previously fled Poland due to convictions related to heinous crimes, specifically rape and child sex offences.
These crimes led to a conviction in absentia, and he was facing a prison sentence according to the authorities.
Following his arrest, Dorobek was transferred to HMP Wandsworth in London in preparation for an extradition hearing.
Lancashire Police officers acted swiftly based on a tip-off about his impending arrival, and their quick action was well received.
The Polish government expressed gratitude to the police force for their rapid response and effectiveness.
Inspector Phil Hutchinson reiterated the significance of the operation, stating, “This is a great example of a number of disciplines from within the constabulary coming together at a moment’s notice to facilitate an arrest.
Our prompt actions have resulted in an extremely dangerous offender being taken off the streets.” The police also conveyed their concern and well wishes for the victims affected by Dorobek's past crimes.
