NOTTINGHAMSHIRE THUG MACAULEY BEGG SENTENCED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT
A Nottinghamshire thug assaulted his partner while holding their 11-day-old baby, a court heard.Macauley Begg, of Old Fall Street, Huthwaite, "hurt and injured" the woman while trying to flee from her home.
Derby Crown Court heard that she and Begg argued about him going out drinking and, during the row, she dialled 999 because she was so scared.
When police arrived, Begg refused to let her out, shouting “you will need guns” to officers, while holding their baby.
Previously, he covered his face with a scarf before attacking a man in Derbyshire.
Begg pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault and was sentenced to eight months in prison.
Judge Ebrahim Mooncey said: “When someone goes to the front door of a person’s home and that person ends up in hospital it has to be custody.”
