SWANSEA MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT AND RAPE AFTER INTOXICATING TEENAGE GIRL
A man plied a teenage girl with alcohol before raping her in his flat after promising he would call her a taxi, a court has heard.A judge told the 48-year-old defendant that his victim had been at a stage in her life when she was "entering the adult world and experimenting with alcohol" and said he had an "ulterior motive" in supplying the teen with drink.
Swansea Crown Court heard that in December last year, Lukman Oyofo gave a teenage girl he had met in Swansea city centre a bottle of vodka.
After this, he got the girl and a friend to go back to his city centre flat on the pretence that he was going to call them a taxi.
Once in the flat, Oyofo sexually assaulted and raped one of the teenagers while her friend was nearby but "incapacitated" through alcohol.
She said she suffers with bad dreams from which she wakes feeling frightened, and she said she is now taking tablets for anxiety and to help her sleep.
The teenager said she had been afraid that nobody would believe her, and she said the defendant had shown no remorse for what he did.
Lukman Oyofo, of Princess Way, Swansea city centre, had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and been convicted at trial of sexual assault and rape when he appeared in the dock for sentencing.
He has no previous convictions.

Oyofo was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and will be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.
Judge Richards told the defendant that the matter of deportation was a matter for the Home Office.
