LUKE TUPPENNEY FROM WEST LONDON ADMITS CONTROL AND COERCIVE BEHAVIOUR IN POLICE SCANDAL

A Metropolitan Police officer currently suspended from duty has formally admitted to engaging in controlling and coercive conduct.

Luke Tuppenney, aged 31, appeared before Isleworth Crown Court on Friday, December 13, where he pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him. The case was part of an investigation conducted by Thames Valley Police, which scrutinized allegations of domestic abuse involving the officer.

Officer Tuppenney, who was assigned to the West Area of the Metropolitan Police, was taken into custody in August 2023 as part of the ongoing inquiry. Since his arrest last year, he has been suspended from his duties, pending further disciplinary proceedings.

He faces multiple charges, including controlling and coercive behaviour, as well as allegations of malicious communications. The court has scheduled his sentencing for Monday, March 3, 2025, at Isleworth Crown Court.

Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall, responsible for policing in the West Area, issued a strong statement condemning Tuppenney’s actions. She emphasized that such behaviour starkly contradicts the core values upheld by the Metropolitan Police, which the vast majority of officers adhere to daily.

Furthermore, she confirmed that the Directorate of Professional Standards is actively investigating the misconduct allegations against Tuppenney, ensuring that appropriate disciplinary measures are pursued to uphold the integrity of the force.
