SEX ATTACKER FOUND DEAD IN CELL
Luke Prato, a 25-year-old man with a history of violent and unbalanced behavior, has been found dead in his cell at HMP Isle of Wight.Prato was a convicted sex offender who had attempted to lure a woman into a park in Exeter.
The HM Prison Service has confirmed his death, noting he was serving a 4-year sentence handed down in March 2020.
He was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman and assaulting her male companion, causing actual bodily harm.
Prato was discovered dead by prison staff on Saturday.
It is believed he was in the process of being transferred to Broadmoor Secure Hospital because of concerns regarding his mental health.
He was diagnosed with an anti-social personality disorder, and reports indicate that as a child, he found his mother hanging at their family home, a trauma that may have contributed to his psychological issues.
