ACCRINGTON WOMAN INVOLVED IN FATAL STABBING OF HER EX PARTNER JAILED FOR 13 YEARS
Louise Henwood, aged 34, was involved in the violent attack that led to the death of Mark Fisher, 33.She goaded Joseph Hindle into the attack by telling him that Mr Fisher had been violent towards her in the past, and earlier admitted manslaughter.
Henwood was sentenced to 13 years for her role in the incident.
The attack occurred when Hindle arrived at Mr Fisher's home on Edleston Street shortly after 12:30 GMT on 19 January 2020.
Mr Fisher was stabbed several times after answering the back door of his home, with one of the blows being delivered with such force that it fractured a rib.
Despite efforts to save him, he died an hour later.
Henwood sent Hindle to rob Mr Fisher, believing he might have cannabis, and her provoking words contributed to the extreme violence that was far in excess of a simple robbery.
Lancashire Police described the attack as "extreme violence" and emphasized that Hindle attacked Mr Fisher in his own home with the clear intention of causing really serious injury.
